Iba Pa Rin ang Pinas

Here I am in New York for 1 month for an important mission and to minister to my family (Mom and Sister). We haven't been reunited for six years. It's a bit hard for me for that means leaving my real family (Wife and three kids) and imbibing the culture here. Well, for Filipinos, it's much easier to live here if you have work. Your work will be the thing that will "anesthesize" you from missing your family.

The hardest part in living here is the climate and season change. Work here is easier specially if you have papers. There are so many taxes to pay---most of the time its 25% of your salary that is slashed. You have a take home of 75% where you will divide it to pay bills and rentals. That's why most Filipinos here work at least 2-3 jobs a day. Some even work till Sunday.

Well, it's interesting to note that here in NY Filipinos tend to be more snobbish than whites. I realy don't know why? Whites are more courteous and proper.

Life in NY can never replace the life in the Philippines. Mas mahirap nga lang sa atin pero mas masaya. Here people think mostly of themselves. Diyan sa Pinas mayroon parang community life. Basta...iba pa rin sa Pinas...
